CREATIVE MINDS - HEALING HEARTS

n February 2025, KALAGRAM, with the support of the District Administration and the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, launched an Art based pilot project in two shelter homes—one for rescued girls and one for boys from vulnerable backgrounds, including children of nomadic communities, daily-wage laborers, and those without permanent homes.

The Project was envisioned by Ms Shikha Gupta, the Director of KALAGRAM. Ms Shikha is a trained Art Therapist who envisioned a compassionate intervention which used the healing language of art.

The project was a collaborative effort between KALAGRAM, an organization committed to promoting artistic expression and cultural development, and OPENDOORS ART PROGRAM, a dedicated initiative that integrates meaningful art into the lives of children from myriad backgrounds.

Neera kathuria, Founder/Director, has been working relentlessly to promote meaningful art experience for children and adults, using creativity as a means to enhance emotional well-being, build resilience, and cultivate hope.
